About Byrd-IT
A licensed security and technology company in Big Sandy, Texas. Our core work is commercial, across East Texas, with the homes and farms around it.
Byrd-IT designs, installs, and supports the systems that keep a property secure and connected: cameras, door access, networks, automatic gates, and long-range wireless links between locations. We also build the software that ties those systems together, from integrations between the platforms you already run to the support assistant on this site.
Most of our work is commercial: storage facilities, warehousing, shopping centers, schools, daycares, churches, doctor's offices, and call centers. Much of it is also remote and hard to reach, and that changes the job. Long driveways, metal buildings that block Wi-Fi, gates a quarter mile from the nearest power pole, and properties well past the end of the fiber are ordinary conditions here, and the systems have to be designed for them rather than adapted afterward.
We work on systems we installed and systems we did not. If yours has cameras that stopped working, a gate that quit, or an app nobody can log into, we can usually put it right without starting over.

Texas Security License #B24045601. Security camera and access control work in Texas requires a license, and it is worth confirming that whoever you hire holds one.
Where we work
East Texas, out of Big Sandy, serving the surrounding cities of Tyler, Longview, and Kilgore. We also travel for projects. Ask.
Hours
Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm Central. Our support assistant answers around the clock and flags anything urgent.
